Think + Link, Capsule’s monthly networking event, is returning in full force to discuss the hottest new trend in social media: Pinterest. If you have yet to experience the thrill of visual bookmarking or inspiration board creation, let us know and we’ll send you an invite.

Then join us Thursday, March 22 at 7:30 a.m. at Capsule Café for a continental breakfast among new connections, and the chance to build your own knowledge about the website that achieved 10 million unique monthly visitors in record time (and what it means for you and your business).

As Think + Link reemerges from a brief hiatus, you can count on new plans for broader content and more diverse discussions, along with new participants and even more interesting speakers. We look forward to reconnecting with you.

Invitation only event: contact Kitty Hart if you’d like to be considered.

  • I did sign up and join Pinterest. And, I still don’t get it.

Maybe it’s more like a sharing tool, such as Facebook. Or maybe it’s just too time consuming to really understand. Sure. I can select things I like. But so far, it does not bring any value to me. I feel like it should.

    Sincerely,
Lost in the social media frenzy

  • Lisa,

We struggle with our use of Pinterest as well. Is it a place to organize bookmarks? It is a place to share inspiration? Is it a place to promote our business? It’s a wildly popular place, and yet, it is not uncommon to hear about users who feel overwhelmed by its presence. Why in the world we even need Pinterest is definitely one of the issues we’d like to tackle at our Think + Link event next Thursday–because we’re curious ourselves!

Are you located in the Twin Cities, or would you have any interest in joining our discussion?
